I didn’t grow up thinking music was a real path—just something magical other people did. But every time I heard a hit on the radio, I felt this pull to understand how something could sound so perfect and profound. In college, I stumbled into songwriting by trying to write a melody to a book of lyrics, and from there, I quietly studied the craft and the business for years before ever finishing a song. It wasn’t until I built up my project management skills and discipline that I found the confidence—and the tools—to turn ideas into real, finished work. Now, I write because I still want to be undeniably good—and because I know how powerful a finished song can be, for the writer and the listener.
